In South Asia, education is seen as a means to break the cycle of poverty. Every parent earnestly desires that their children receive an education so that they can have the hope of a better life. We at TUTC seek to provide an education for impoverished children and give them a solid educational foundation (including learning to read and write in both Hindi and English), that will allow them to continue to the next level. We provide classrooms, teachers, uniforms, books, pencils, and lunches (when possible), as well as extra-curricular activities.

But the message of hope does not end with the school children. By providing such a valued resource for the poor, TUTC is able to spread the message of God’s love to the surrounding communities. Many of the children and their families voluntarily attend Sunday School!

 

Providing hope for the hopeless, for both the children and the parents, is the heart-cry of our ministry!
